AMSi Changes Name to TheRadio.com

American Media Services-Internet changed its name to TheRadio.com.

American Media Services-Internet changed its name to TheRadio.com.

The company says this reflects an ongoing global shift to digital media and online radio. The company was launched by American Media Services in late 2006 to assist radio owners and operators in setting up and managing streaming radio sites.

“Originally we were looking for the terrestrial radio industry to recognize that our Internet venture was associated with American Media Services and to capitalize on our reputation with broadcasters,” said AMS President/CEO Edward F. Seeger. “But we also already owned the domain name ‘TheRadio.com,’ and it became evident over the past few months that this URL said exactly who we are and what we’re doing. Every time it’s referenced, people will know where they can find us on the Internet.”
