APRE Announces Scholarships for Annual Las Vegas Conference

The Public Radio Engineering Conference is held in conjunction with the NAB Show

The Association of Public Radio Engineers (APRE) will hold its Public Radio Engineering Conference (PREC) on April 13-14 in conjunction with the National Association of Broadcasters’ NAB Show.

APRE is offering scholarships to attend its Las Vegas conference to any persons new to the broadcast field with a technical or operational bent.

PREC serves as a professional development opportunity for the engineering community as well as a place to honor engineers for their service. While the annual conference was on a hiatus for a couple of years due to the pandemic, the event returned to Las Vegas with a bang in 2022.

To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must currently work at a public radio station, have five years or less of technical experience and attend the conference in its entirety.

APRE is a nonprofit that “exists to advance preserve the mission of public radio stations through education, outreach, regulatory support and the ongoing development and preservation of best engineering practices,” according to its website and Facebook page.
