Public Radio Engineering Conference Registration Now Open

Early-bird pricing is through Dec. 31

Registration for the 2024 Public Radio Engineering Conference (PREC) is now open. Held April 11–12 in Las Vegas, just prior to the NAB Show, the conference serves as a professional development opportunity for the engineering community as well as a place to honor engineers for their service.

According to the Association of Public Radio Engineers (APRE) — host of the annual event —PREC offers a variety of presentations based upon peer knowledge and experiences, as well as manufacturer solutions and educational papers that will benefit the public radio broadcast engineering community.

Steve Shultis, chief technical officer of New York Public Radio and Brian Agnello, senior broadcast engineer for WXXI, Rochester, N.Y., share experiences during a break at PREC 2022.

Discussion topics on the docket include everything from transmitters and antennas, automation and audio processing, podcasting and video and the changing legal and regulatory climate.

The event will be held in-person at the Tuscany Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev., located at 255 East Flamingo Road, as well as online via a companion live-stream with interactive capabilities.

Early-bird registration for the spring conference, which includes a $50 discount, ends Dec. 31. Upon registration, attendees will gain access to special rates and benefits at the host hotel.

Register by visiting www.apre.us.
