APT Codecs Used for Sirius/BBC Link

APT said its codecs are being used to create the link-up between Sirius Satellite Radio and BBC’s music channel Radio 1.
It said Sirius requested that APT’s Enhanced apt-X algorithm be used for the transfer of audio between London and New York;APT WorldNet Ohio codec were installed in those locations.
“Using an X.21/V.35 link operating at 256 kbps, the WorldNet Ohio enables the transfer of a stereo feed and also provides a mono back-up over ISDN,” it stated.
