APT has opened two new sales offices in the United States and announced two sales appointments for North America.

Kevin Campbell, former European sales manager with APT, takes the role of vice president of North American operations. Ted Nahil, most recently of Harris Corp., was named national accounts manager.

“The decision to open new offices and make such strategic appointments reflects APT’s commitment to the North American broadcast market and the investment being made by broadcasters for HD Radio,” it said in a statement. The company, based in Northern Ireland, is seeking to solidify its U.S. presence. Its North American sales manager had been Art Constantine, who recently left to join the ATI Group.

Commercial Director Jon McClintock said the past year saw “unprecedented demand” for APT STL and audio networking products in U.S. and Canadian markets.

Nahil also has worked for Intraplex, Greater Media (Detroit), Noble (Boston), and Shamrock and Salem (Denver); he is a contributor to Radio World. Nahil’s job at APT is to serve radio and TV STL customers.

Campbell has been with APT since 2003; his goal is to grow its North American market share in broadcast and post-production.
