Northern Ireland codec developer APTX announced that End to End Technologies is the latest licensee of the Enhanced apt-X codec.
End to End’s Audio Compass line of Internet broadcast products (Navigator and P2P) will use the Enhanced apt-X codec for audio over IP distribution functions.
President of End to End Technologies Sam Bushman said, “With the addition of the apt-X codec, we take Audio Compass as a software-only audio over IP solution, to the next level. While on the road, broadcasters want in-studio quality audio.”
APTX stated: “Audio Compass will facilitate broadcasters who are migrating from ISDN circuits to IP for their network’s remote broadcasting requirements, i.e. sporting events, live outside broadcasts and remote talk show hosts.”
The Audio Compass software will be shown at the NAB Show in the Broadcasters General Store booth, C1451.
