The National Alliance of State Broadcasters Associations and the EAS Committee of the NAB plan the third in a series of webinars on the implementation of the Common Alerting Protocol.
“Analyzing the EAS NPRM: A Town Hall Discussion” will be presented on Thursday, June 16 at 4 p.m. Eastern. The one-hour session will feature a summary of the major components of the FCC’s EAS Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, as well as provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions.
The NASBA-NAB EAS Committee is coordinating webinars and a website to provide resources for broadcasters and EAS partners in implementing CAP by the Sept. 30, 2011 deadline.
Register on the site before the presentation. Those unable to watch live can get an archived version off the website within 72 hours say organizers.
Previous webinars were “Implementing CAP: Case Studies from Three States,” on March 10 and the initial town hall meeting on Feb. 3. Both are archived at the website.
