WorldCast Systems is the new corporate name for the parent of Audemat, Ecreso and APT.
The announcement is timed to the pending IBC convention in Amsterdam. The rebranding, the company said, is designed to reflect a strategy of providing “professional, integrated solutions to broadcasters at every step along the broadcast chain,” it stated.
The current names are retained as division brands.
Audemat, headquartered in France, acquired the codec business of APT earlier this year; it bought Ecreso in 2006. The name WorldCast has been an APT model name.
The WorldCast Systems name includes a tag line, “deliver, transmit, monitor,” which the manufacturer says identifies its three key areas of competency.
