The Pittsburgh Pirates have added Skyview Networks’ satellite audio distribution service to its radio broadcast distribution tools. The Pirates broadcast system had been using Skyview’s F.A.S.T. Inventory Management System.
Amongst services and provisions Skyview will install satellite receivers at each of the Pirates’ 36 radio broadcast affiliates. A backup IP streaming system will also be setup.
According to a release the new satellite delivery system combined with the F.A.S.T. will improve ad opportunities, especially local splits.
Skyview Networks currently provides the broadcast services for about 50 professional and 50 collegiate sports organizations along with producing and delivering select news services.
