Carl Butrum was appointed to the newly created position of president of The John Bayliss Broadcast Foundation. He will be based in New York City.
Butrum had been executive vice president and director of sales for the Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation, purchased in September by Univision for $3.2 billion. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president/corporate at Katz Media Group for approximately two years, and as president of Eastman Radio from 1988 to 2000.
Butrum joins the Foundation in preparing for the 18th Annual Bayliss Radio Roast, scheduled for March 11. The Roast benefits the Bayliss Radio Scholarship program.
