BE Preps for NAB Radio Show

BE Preps for NAB Radio Show

Broadcast Electronics will show gear related to station operations for HD Radio at the upcoming NAB Radio Show. BE booth number 319 will demonstrate an end-to-end studio system integrating on-air audio with over-the-Internet, HD Radio and RDS. The solution integrates BE’s AudioVault Version 9.0 digital audio system with its SoniXtream streaming media management software and Now Playing software capable of generating text displays on FM RDS and HD Radio tuners.
The company will also showcase its 4M modulation method for AM that the company says exceeds AM transmitter standards in efficiency, size and power-performance to meet HD Radio requirements. On display will be its 4MX 50kW transmitter, the first in a new series of AM transmitters based on the modulation method.
BE’s FXi digital FM exciter, XPi 10 Data Exporter, IDi 10/20 Data Importer and other transmission products will represent the company’s advanced HD Radio technology demonstrating second-generation multicasting and data services.
Also at the booth will be BE’s Big Pipe broadband T1/wireless inter-facility transport unit to carry the high-bandwidth. New tools for RDS multiplexing, monitoring and logging also will be on display at the booth as will the company’s Marti line of RPU and STL systems for remote locations.
