Media owner Larry Bentson and his wife Nancy have donated $5 million to a neuroscience institute doing work on diagnosis and treatment of strokes, epilepsy and Alzheimer’s Disease.
According to an Associated Press story in the Star Tribune newspaper, the St. Paul couple has donated the money to United Hospital’s John Nasseff Neuroscience Institute. The newspaper quoted sources close to the Bentsons.
Bentson runs Midcontinent Media Co., a media company operating in Minnesota, North and South Dakota and Wisconsin; five radio stations are among its properties.
