Bob Mercer will retire from Delmarva Broadcasting at the end of the year.

He is VP of operations and technology for the broadcast owner in the Mid-Atlantic. He plans to open a consulting firm, Softek Customware & Consulting.

"We plan to use our 45 years of wide-ranging hands-on experience in broadcast technology, automation systems, networks, servers, workstations, routers, switches, audio switchers, satellite receivers, RDS, HD Radio software, software development, broadcast programming, operations and technology management, building project planning and management, personnel management and supervision to make life around technology easier for our customers," Mercer wrote in a business summary.
