Broadcast Richardson Parent Has Strong Quarter

Richardson Electronics Ltd., the parent of Broadcast Richardson, said it set a quarterly record for sales in its second quarter, with $151.4 million, an increase of 18% from the second quarter of the previous year. It did not provide separate broadcast sales figures.
Net income was $1.7 million, or $0.10 per share, in the quarter compared to $2.2 million, or $0.15 per share, in the same quarter last year. Display Systems led the sales growth in the quarter increasing sales 58.5%. Sales in RF/Wireless Communications increased 16.7%.
