CBS Radio has promoted Tim Richards, naming him as operations manager for Phoenix’s KMLE(FM) and KZON(FM) according to Senior Vice President and Market Manager Tim Pohlman.
Michael Coquia serves as program director of KZON and will work under the direction of Richards.
Richards joined the staff of CBS Radio Phoenix and KMLE as PD, a position he will continue to fill. Prior to that, he was program director of KZZP(FM) in Phoenix and show director for the “Johnjay & Rich” program.
His radio career includes stints as operations manager of KRQQ(FM) in Tucson, Ariz., regional vice president of programming for Clear Channel, PD of WKQI(FM) in Detroit and WKQX(FM) in Chicago, as well as assistant program director/music director at WBMX(FM) in Boston. He began his radio career in Chicago with CBS Radio’s WBBM(FM).
