Christina Albee Returns to Cumulus as Chief Marketing Officer

New position created to increase revenue and leverage content/assets

Christina Albee was named chief marketing officer at Cumulus Media. The announcement came from Cumulus Media President and CEO Mary G. Berner.

Based in New York, Albee will report to Suzanne Grimes, president of Westwood One Division and executive vice president of corporate marketing at Cumulus Media.

With more than 25 years’ of experience working in and across multiple media platforms, Albee comes to Cumulus Media from Flipboard, where she had been head of sales marketing. She previously held sales marketing positions at Condé Nast, Time Inc. and Westwood One.

“Christina brings tremendous experience and energy to this critical role,” said Berner. “We are delighted that she will apply her considerable skills and talent to the development of new marketing strategies that will facilitate new revenue opportunities throughout our organization.”

“I am thrilled to be returning to Cumulus in this new role, particularly with the great team that Mary has put in place and the empowering culture she has established,” said Albee. “We’ve got positive momentum and countless ways we can expand our sales marketing effort by leveraging untapped assets.”

According to the announcement, the company’s marketing team will now be unified under Albee’s leadership, in order to create the most nimble and cohesive marketing force.
