Clear Channel Promotes Three to Imaging Initiative

Clear Channel Radio appointed three of its executives to lead its initiative to improve commercial, creative and station imaging. The group will serve as a resource to advertising agencies and local stations, offering creative coaching, online toolkits and direction in the creation of memorable radio ads.
Programmer Bob Case and former McCann Erikson creative director Robert Summers were promoted to managing directors of the initiative. Producer Yaman Coskun joins as creative coordinator and senior producer.
Case had been regional vice president of programming for the company, and also is the founder of StreamAudio, an Internet streaming provider for terrestrial radio. Prior to Clear Channel, he served as principle for Bedrock & Associates and held senior management, operations and programming positions with New Century. In his new position, he will be responsible for running the initiative’s daily operations.
In addition to his position with McCann Erickson, Summers previously held creative positions with consulting firms Arogeti & Summers and The Robert Summers Project Inc., both of which he founded. He assumes responsibility for the initiative’s category-specific spot campaigns and creating Web-based tools for Clear Channel Radio stations, in addition to live and web-based training.
Prior to Clear Channel, Coskun had owned and operated a Philadelphia-based ad agency, and directed creative services for the city’s WIOQ(FM). Most recently, he worked for WIHT(FM) in Washington, designing campaigns for local clients.
“With Clear Channel’s ‘Less Is More’ initiative gaining traction in the broader radio industry, there is not better time to be in radio than now, and no better place to be than Clear Channel,” said Coskun.
