Clear Channel Radio has announced a series of appointments, notably at the top concerning Michele Laven and Tom Poleman.
Laven, formerly SVP of distribution and development, takes the post of executive vice president of strategic partnerships. Poleman, recently SVP of programming, is president of national programming platforms. Both will report to CEO John Hogan.
In a release the company said the move illustrate its “commitment to delivering unparalleled opportunities for key advertisers, marketers, artists and labels on both the national and local levels and across Clear Channel’s multiple platforms.”
Poleman’s National Programming Platforms group is new, designed to oversee music and event marketing, artist relations and on-air talent development. It also is tasked with creating a network of format brand managers and digital programming, according to the release.
Laven and Poleman will be heavily involved in Clear Channel Radio’s iHeartRadio digital platform.
The creation of National Programming Platforms led to additional appointments.

Jeff Littlejohn, previously EVP of distribution, becomes EVP, engineering and systems integration.
