The first Jack-formatted station in the U.S., KJAC(FM) in the Denver/Boulder, Colo. market, found its studio cut-off from its Bellvue transmitter site during the recent wildfires. Silence ensued.
The fires cut off the T1 STL and electricity to the site.
But with a little from its friends, the station is back on the air. Clear Channel Satellite rode to Jack’s rescue with its new XtremeSat Media satellite link equipment and an STL was reestablished. An emergency generator provides power. Denver-based broadcast engineering contractor Creative Studio Solutions was the actual rescuer.
