Things are moving forward at the commission in regards to terrestrial digital radio. The FCC intends to act on a Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for IBOC at its open meeting next Thursday. The commission is expected to ask for comments about procedures authorizing AM nighttime operation as well as the split FM channel concept, sources said.
