The next World Radiocommunication Conference is coming up. FCC WRC Director Alexander Roytblat has stated that decisions of WRC-07 will have “significant implications” for U.S. consumers and industry.
The FCC staff now says it is generally supportive of new recommendations from the World Radiocommunication Conference Advisory Committee, but it has some reservations and is asking for public comments.
The committee has submitted its recommendations to the FCC on several issues to be considered this year by the WRC, which convenes every few years under U.N. auspices to manage international use of radio-frequency spectrum.
