Comrex Teams With Rock Hall at Radio Show

For visitors to the upcoming NAB Radio Show, Comrex and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum have broadcasts planned.
The Comrex Remote Studio will be in operation at Booth 123 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Syndicated Doug Stephan will host his “Good Day” morning show using Comrex gear. XM Satellite Radio’s Pat Clarke will broadcast amidday show on Oct. 2, hosting guests including Peggy March.
“Student broadcasters from the State University of New York at Brockport’s WBSU Radio will also go live from the NAB show floor,” Comrex stated.
The supplier will tout its product line including the new wireless GSM module for the Matrix codec.
As Radio World reported in a special Facility Focus in April, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum invites stations to visit Cleveland and broadcast live from the newly improved Alan Freed Radio Studio, free of charge.
Comrex said it will supply a complimentary Matrix loaner unit for visiting stations to connect to the Rock Hall and receive the remote audio at their own studios.
