Cumulus Assigns Gallagher and Stuart

Markets in Wisconsin and Ohio get new faces

John Gallagher

Cumulus Media has promoted John Gallagher to regional vice president for its operations in Appleton/Oshkosh, Wis., and in Green Bay, Wis. He will also lead Cumulus Appleton/Oshkosh as market manager.

Andy Stuart has also been named regional vice president and market manager for the seven-station Cumulus cluster in Toledo, Ohio.

Gallagher replaces Tom Joerres, who has been acting as interim market manager for the clusters.

Gallagher was vice president/market manager of Cumulus Toledo, earning more than 20 years’ experience in radio management. He also managed sales teams at WJR(AM) and WRIF(FM) in Detroit, WLS(AM) in Chicago, and KCMO(AM/FM) in Kansas City.

Stuart comes to Cumulus from Clear Channel, where he served as regional vice president and market manager of Clear Channel’s Toledo stations for over 24 years. During that time, he led the consolidation of six radio stations into one operating group. As RVP, his area of responsibility included assets in Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Lima, Defiance, Napoleon, Ashland, Mansfield and Findlay, Ohio.

Stuart’s experience includes roles as a general manager, sales manager, account executive, program director, talk show host, news reporter, editor and announcer in markets including Toledo, Charlotte, N.C., Greensboro N.C., Richmond and Charlottesville, Va.
