Cheryl Salomone
Cumulus Media has appointed Cheryl Salomone as vice president/market manager for its four-station group in Fayetteville, N.C. Also, Cumulus Media has appointed Neil Larrimore as program director for WPRO(AM) in Providence, R.I., and in Columbia, S.C., WNKT(FM) has promoted sportscaster Tim Hill to program director.
Salomone joins Cumulus from Pamal Broadcasting in White Plains, N.Y., where she was director of nontraditional revenue and local sales manager for WXPK. Previously, she was VP/market manager for Adams Radio Group in Salisbury/Ocean City, Md. She was also regional vice president for Townsquare Media, overseeing Tri-Cities and Yakima, Wash, and prior to that, was general manager for Townsquare’s stations in Billings, Mont.
Neil Larrimore
Cumulus Media owns and operates Fayetteville, N.C., radio stations WMGU(FM), WQSM(FM), WRCQ(FM) and WFNC(AM).
Neil Larrimore has programmed stations for more than 20 years and joins Cumulus from iHeartMedia, where he was formerly program director and brand manager for iHeartMedia’s Information brands in the Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz., markets. Prior to that, he was PD for KMBZ(AM/FM) in Kansas City, Mo. He has held other programming positions in markets including Dayton, Ohio, and Philadelphia.
Tim Hill
Besides program director duties at WNKT, Tim Hill will continue to serve as on-air host of “The Early Game” morning show. He has also spent 13 years leading sports coverage for ABC affiliate WOLO(TV) in Columbia, S.C.
Also, the company has re-signed Robby Bridges as director of FM programming, overseeing the Detroit radio station cluster, which includes WDVD(FM), WDRQ(FM) and WDRQ(HD2). Bridges is also on Cumulus’ SWAT teams and anchors PM drive on WDVD.
