Cumulus Starts 2016 With N.Y. Promotions

Broadcaster also says Kross will join KLIF in Dallas

Cumulus Media New York has named John Foxx as program director for WNSH(FM), promoted Mike Allan to assistant program director for WNSH and WPLJ(FM), as well as moved Melony Torres to music director and late night host for WPLJ. Additionally, Dustin Kross will join KLIF(FM) in Dallas/Fort Worth as program director and morning drive host.

Foxx had served as the PD for WPLJ since 2012, and he previously was an on-air at Cumulus’ KLIF(FM) in Dallas. He has also held programming positions for Cumulus in Colorado and for stations in Poughkeepsie and Albany, N.Y.

Allan has worked in promotions, production and midday host positions at Cumulus Westchester’s WFAS from 2004–2013 before joining WNSH and WPLJ as music coordinator in 2015.

Torres held programming positions at WOMX(FM) and WJHM(FM) in Orlando, Fla., along with WSJT(FM) Tampa, Fla. She also has served as national director of promotion for Epic Records before joining WRQX(FM) in Washington.

Kross was most recently assistant program director and morning drive host for WJHM in Orlando. Prior to that he was APD and midday/afternoon drive host for WNWW(FM) in Jacksonville, Fla. Kross will work with KRBE Houston PD Leslie Whittle. He replaces Louie Diaz, who will now program Cumulus station WRQX in Washington.
