JR Schumann
Cumulus Media has appointed Paul Agase as vice president of sales for WLS(AM) and WLUP(FM) in Chicago. In Dallas, the company has chosen JR Schumann as operations manager for country-formatted stations KPLX(FM) and KSCS(FM).
Agase will now be responsible for overseeing all advertising sales for 89 WLS and 97.9 FM The Loop. Agase brings to Cumulus extensive radio sales experience, serving more than 30 years in executive roles within Chicago radio.
He previously led sales efforts for Chicago’s CBS-owned WBBM(AM) as general sales manager. He has also held management positions at Chicago radio stations including WSCR(AM), WXRT(FM), WKSC(FM) and WBBM(FM).
The company’s Chicago cluster includes the two stations where Agase will manage sales as well as WLS(FM) and WKQX(FM).
Schumann, who was formerly the program director at WWKA(FM) in Orlando, has programmed for Cox Radio Group in Birmingham and Orlando. He will report to Dan Bennett, the vice president/market manager of Cumulus Media Dallas-Fort Worth. KSCS Assistant Program Director Chris Huff will remain with the station.
