Lori Bennett
Cumulus Media Grand Rapids Vice President/Market Manager Jeff Cartwright has promoted Lori Bennett to operations manager for the five-station cluster in Michigan. She will also program WTNR(FM) and host the afternoon drive show from 3–7 p.m.
Bennett replaces John Crenshaw, who was promoted to Cumulus’ Youngstown, Ohio, cluster in July.
Bennett joins the Grand Rapids group from Cumulus Media Detroit, where she most recently was program director and afternoon drive host for WDVD(FM), along with previous tours as WJR(AM) PD/feature anchor and feature talent for WDRQ(FM). Bennett served in various capacities including ops manager, program and marketing director and morning show host for various stations such as WNIC(FM), WMGC(FM) and WVMV(FM).
Ray Nelson
The cluster includes WLAV(FM), WBBL(FM), WHTS(FM), WTNR(FM) and WJRW(AM).
Additionally, Cumulus has appointed Ray Nelson to vice president/market manager for Cumulus Media-Huntsville’s six-station cluster in Alabama.
Nelson was previously VP/general manager/cluster director of sales for Cox Radio in Birmingham, Ala. Prior to that, he was VP/market manager for iHeartMedia in Ann Arbor, Mich. He was also GM/general sales manager/national sales manager for Fritz Broadcasting in Saginaw, Mich.
