Dalet Wins Big Germany Install

Dalet said it has a contract for a “massive” installation involving more than 1,000 workstations at sites in Berlin and Bonn, Germany.
The company said Deutsche Welle selected Dalet OpenMedia and Dalet OpenMedia OnAir plug-in to equip its broadcast newsroom. The OpenMedia platform will provide planning, scheduling and playout capabilities for television, radio and Internet operations. The OnAir automation extension will streamline workflow between newsroom and gallery operations.
The system will be used to produce TV and radio programs in 28 languages, Dalet said. Its business partner Thum und Mahr is the prime contractor.
Dalet called it the first tri-media system to be delivered in Germany.
