The Davicom MAC telemetry system was recently upgraded to add several new features, including browser-based Web access and BlackBerry access.
Other new features of the MAC include audio monitoring over IP streaming, full SNMP compliance and a MacNet functionality for alarm redirection. A light version of the system, the MicroMAC, is also available.
In the event of a problem, Davicom MAC sends instant alarms, enables interrogation of the remote unit and then also any subsequent fault correction. Problem notification is via SMS, pager, fax, e-mail or SNMP.
The MAC system thus helps reduce maintenance costs and avoid unnecessary trips to distant sites. It also automatically generates a site log.
