NCAA Final Four won 20 million listeners

The NCAA Final Four results are in and program syndicator Dial Global Sports is happy.

According to a commissioned study from Edison Research, approximately 20 million people tuned in on the 512 stations it aired, between March 31 and April 2. The telephone survey, conducted on April 3, concluded that 20.6 million people tuned in sometime during the games.

Dial Global Sports had exclusive radio rights to the Final Four games, which took place in New Orleans.

Dial Global Co-President CEO David Landau said, “We are pleased that our previous research findings still hold true, people desire play-by-play sports on radio in a big way,” also referring to previous commissioned studies showing 20+ million listeners for Super Bowl XLVI and both the AFC and NFC championship games. Those events were also broadcast by Dial Global Sports.
