When Istanbul-based Power Group needed to stay in contact with meteorologist Bünyamin Sürmeli while he was on a month-long assignment in Los Angeles, the group installed a Digigram IQOYA solution.
“We needed a simple yet high quality solution for our journalists in the field to be able to report back to the studio without having to take a lot of costly and bulky equipment with them,” stated Technical Director Okan Çelen.
On the suggestion of Fehmi Kartal at distributor Radikal Ltd. Sti., Power FM installed IQOYA V*MOTE audio-over-IP codec with SIP software for use with a studio-side V*CALL software audio-over-IP codec. Sürmeli had V*MOTE installed onto his laptop, and he then went out on assignment to Los Angeles for almost a month. “It was all so easy and straightforward,” stated Çelen. “Training took precisely one minute for both the journalist and the DJ … [and] the audio quality — as usual with Digigram devices — is exceptional.”
