E Snake From Whirlwind Is CobraNet Distribution

Whirlwind this spring has been showing its CobraNet-compatible Cat-5 technology, E Snake. Each frame system consists of a hardware frame and motherboard that can be configured with four input and four output cards. Each card is capable of processing eight channels of audio for a maximum of 42 channels.
Multiple units can be configured together if more capacity is required. E Snake has analog and AES/EBU I/Os and can be implemented across an existing Ethernet network.
E Desk, which accompanies E Snake, allows you to control 64 channels of real-time audio. Its Equipment Room feature offers a selection of virtual mixers, EQs, filters, crossovers, dynamic processors, routers, delays and other custom applications.
