The European Broadcasting Union will be at IBC2013.
The organization will demonstrate various developments of interest to broadcasters, including binaural audio over headphones, EBU quality control checks, a networked studio proof-of-concept from BBC R&D, prototype scalable cloud infrastructure and progress with digital and hybrid radio.
The EBU theatre will also feature presentations about topics such as the “QC: Quite Clever,” “Sustainable Tech in Broadcasting,” “Broadcasting from the Cloud” and “Digital Radio Mondiale.”
Additionally, new EBU Director of Technology Simon Fell will chair the “Public Service Media: Innovation and Inspiration” conference session on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m.
There will be other opportunities to interact with EBU at IBC2013. The organization will again host the Loudness Breakfast on the morning of Monday, Sept. 16 at 8 a.m., and then that evening it will host a drinks reception, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet Fell.
