Viewers who watch the Food Network on cable TV might see a familiar face this Sunday night.
RW hears that Elaine Jones, a marketing and PR executive active in the radio broadcast supply industry, will appear on “Ultimate Recipe Showdown.” She’s based in Salt Lake City.
The primetime series searches for the “ultimate recipe” in six categories: Chicken, Burgers, Comfort Foods, Cakes, Pasta and Cookies. It involved a nationwide recipe contest with thousands of entrants and there are nine finalists per category and episode, and a cash prize at “steak.”
“The finalists prepared their dish on set under the lights and pressure of a live audience,” the show’s Web site says. “A panel of food experts sampled all of the dishes to determine whose was the best.”
Jones’ recipe: Mediterranean pasta with lamb meatballs.
