Katerina Perez
Entercom Communication’s south Florida cluster has chosen Katerina Perez as general sales manager for Miami’s WSFS(FM) and WAXY(AM). Also the Kansas City group has appointed Alan Furst to take on the role of program director at KMBZ(AM/FM), effective Feb. 15.
Perez has held senior leadership positions throughout Florida, Virginia and Washington state. A native Canadian, Perez nonetheless has spent much of her life in southern Florida, which is where she began her career as an account executive. She was then promoted to general sales manager for iHeartMedia’s five-station cluster in Ft Pierce-Vero Beach, Fla., followed by a stint as the market president for the company’s eight-station Melbourne-Key West, Fla., cluster. She then oversaw the four-station cluster in Norfolk, Va. Most recently, Perez served at senior vice president of sales in Seattle, supervising for the seven-station group.
Alan Furst
Alan Furst’s radio career includes news and talk experience consulting at stations including WBZ(AM) in Boston, and leading newsrooms at KROI(FM) Houston, WLW(AM) Cincinnati, WIBC(FM) Indianapolis and others as program director.
