ESPN Streaming for CFP National Championship Up 103%

Some 400 ESPN terrestrial affiliates carried the game

ESPN says its audio broadcast of the College Football Playoff National Championship averaged 69,000 listeners in the average minute across network and affiliate streams.

That’s the third-highest network stream in history, trailing only two 2014 FIFA World Cup matches, according to ESPN.

The ESPN audio streaming network audience grew 103% from last year’s BCS National Championship game, according to the broadcaster; the network includes the ESPN Radio website and mobile app, the SportsCenter mobile app, TuneIn Radio, Slacker Radio and Apple iTunes Radio.

Some 400 ESPN terrestrial affiliates as well as SiriusXM carried the game.
