New from Scott Vest is the eVest. Rather than juggling a DAT recorder, microphone, cell phone and PDA just wear it all and capture a sound bite at the next event.
The lightweight eVest is made of durable, water-repellent microfiber fabric and has 17 pockets placed with attention to weight management and connectivity through the lining of the garment. The user can connect wires to and from multiple electronic gadgets using a hidden conduit system runs throughout the eVest allows.
Pockets can accommodate digital cameras, portable keyboards, GPS devices, small laptop computers, recorders, microphones and anything else the wearer may need while on assignment.
Limited quantities of the original eVest are available. Version 2 of the unisex eVest will accommodate a wider range of sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL. Available in black (as of March 2002) and olive-khaki (available in April 2002), the garment is suitable for a variety of weather conditions; the sleeves zip off and can be stored in the back pocket during warmer weather or when indoors. Price: $119.
