FCC Identifies 184 ‘Singletons’ for AM Auction

Step right up for the next spectrum auction. This time, it’s AM frequencies going on the block in Auction No. 84. The FCC has established filing deadlines for 184 “singleton” applications, those cases in which, so far, only one applicant has applied for a given frequency in a market. Form 301 applications for available AM frequencies must be submitted between Nov .18 and Jan. 18. Petitions to Deny must be submitted within 10 days after an application has been accepted for filing.
Dates for this auction are not yet set.
Auction 37 for FM frequencies closed round 40 with total bids and gross revenue raised so far at more than $185 million.
