First Broadcasting Plans RF Lab

First Broadcasting plans to launch what it calls a “Spectrum Innovation Lab” in January.
The Dallas-based facility will study digital and RF propagation. Bert Goldman, SVP of engineering for First, will become senior technical advisor to First Broadcasting and honorary chairman of the lab.
William Hieatt, formerly a regional director for broadband services and information systems developer Communications Technologies Inc., was named VP of engineering and software development for First.
