Freeze Begun for FM Modifications

The FCC has frozen applications for major mods for commercial and noncom FMs, pending the outcome of Auction 37 this fall. Two hundred ninety station frequencies are to be auctioned Nov. 3. A freeze on minor mod applications is for the length of the auction application filing window, which has not yet been made public.
