The Fujairah Culture and Media Authority brought a new station to the air to mark the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, Zayed Radio for Holy Qur’an.
FCMA Chairman Sheikh Rashid bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi said the new station is designed to information from the Qur’an and about the traditions of Mohammed. He also stated that he station aims to “spread the values of virtues, love and tolerance among people and to educate them about religious issues.”
The founding of Zayed Radio was following a directive of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, ruler of the Emirate of Fujairah, which is part of the United Arab Emirates.
