Futuri Media Names Kris Abrams Director/Partner Integration

Abrams to implement platforms and develop partner strategies

Futuri Media announced the appointment of longtime radio programming and operations executive Kris Abrams as director/partner integration. Reporting to SVP of Operations Todd Thomas, Abrams works with client stations on implementing Futuri’s platforms at stations domestically and internationally.

“It’s rare to find such a talented, versatile professional with the kind of major-league success that Kris has demonstrated for so many years in so many different situations,” said Futuri Media President/CEO Daniel Anstandig.

Thomas added that Abrams is going to be an invaluable asset and partner to Futuri’s stations everywhere.

A third-generation broadcaster, Abrams joins Futuri after serving three years as operations manager for Cumulus Radio/Albuquerque, N.M., an eight-station cluster where he integrated Futuri’s products and services. Abrams previously worked as operations manager for iHeartMedia’s six-station cluster in Jacksonville, Fla.; as program director at Greater Media Hot AC WLNK(FM)/Charlotte, N.C.; as operations manager for CBS Radio’s three-station group in Phoenix, Ariz.; and as program director at WRIT(FM)/Milwaukee, Wis., and WMQX(FM)/Greensboro, N.C., among other stations.

“This is a perfect fit that I couldn’t pass up: the chance to work as part of a team of so many forward-thinking people, both here at Futuri and especially at stations across the globe,” Abrams said.
