German national broadcaster Deutschlandradio is using the 2wcom FlexXtract in its program distribution system.
The FlexXtract is a DAB+ signal extractor that can pull a DAB+ signal from an MPEGII transport stream and deliver it to a transmitter or a facility for further use.
Deutschlandradio is using FlexXtract units at 27 satellite-fed DAB+ transmitter sites to collect the signal and feed the DAB+ transmitters.
The FlexXtract can also receive signals via Ethernet or ASI.
