Harris Corp. named P. Harris Morris to the newly created position of vice president of software systems in its Broadcast Communications division.
He will be responsible for the software, server, newsroom and editing businesses that manage digital media workflow for global broadcast and other media customers.
Morris had been chief strategy officer for the Thomson Learning Division of Thomson Corp. Previously, he was a partner and vice president of Bain & Co., a global business consulting firm.
He will “build on our strategies to expand addressable markets and focus product development efforts that allow us to offer more comprehensive solutions to our customers,” said Tim Thorsteinson, president, Harris Broadcast Communications.
Morris will be based in Denver.
