The keynote speech at the Radio-Television News Directors Association’s Awards Dinner in New York next month will be by CBS News President Andrew Heyward.
RTNDA honors winners of the Edward R. Murrow Awards and the RTNDA/UNITY Awards at the dinner Oct. 13 at the Grand Hyatt New York. Heyward also will accept his network’s Murrow Award for Overall Excellence.
CBS won eight Murrow Awards this year, more than any other network, including three by CBS Radio News.
Forty-nine news organizations won 70 awards out of an initial pool of 2,770 entries from 520 organizations. The winners are listed at www.rtnda.org/asfi/awards/murrowshow2003.asp.
