AEQ has hired John Härtzell as its new business development director for the U.S. and Canada.
A former Coast Guard officer, he has worked as a radio broadcast engineer at Harris, senior technical manager at W R Systems and director of international and government sales at Burk Technology.
AEQ cited his experience in commercial broadcast operation, radio navigation, large-scale systems design and engineering, project management and commercial/government broadcast sales.
He’ll work with dealers in the United States and Canada to promote the company’s products, which include codecs, consoles, phone hybrids and turnkey packages.
This is one of two appointments the company has made to replace Gerardo Vargas, who left recently as reported here earlier. Giovanna Hurtado will handle internal and logistical duties that Vargas had managed.
