Beasley Broadcast Las Vegas says Vice President and Market Manager Tom Humm has signed a five-year extension to his contract. Beasley Broadcast owns five radio stations in the Las Vegas market: KDWN(AM), KKLZ(FM), KCYE(FM), KOAS(FM) and KVGS(FM).
Prior to joining Beasley, Humm served as general manager for CBS’ Las Vegas radio cluster, a position he attained in 1998 when the company acquired stations under his management. A Las Vegas native and well-known local broadcaster, Humm received the Nevada Broadcasters Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. He was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 1999.
Humm entered the broadcast field as an account executive with KLUC(FM) in 1978 and was promoted to local sales manager before assuming the role of GM of KXTZ(FM) in 1984; a position he held until 1991 when he departed for the GM position of KEYV/KFMS. He returned to KLUC as GM in 1993, overseeing that station as well as KVEG(FM) — now KXNT(FM) — and KXNO(FM) — now KSFN(FM). The 1998 CBS purchase added KMZQ(AM) and KMXB(FM) to his managerial duties.
Beasley Chairman and CEO George G. Beasley had high praise for Humm: “Tom’s deep roots in the Las Vegas community provide a perfect fit for Beasley’s focus on programming radio stations that are live, local and truly committed to the communities we serve.”
