i105-107 Makes Axia First for Ireland

Wilton Radio's new youth-oriented station i105-107 signed on last month from new studios in Athlone.

A new regional station has come on the air in Ireland, and it’s being powered by Axia Audio networking and console systems.

Wilton Radio’s new youth-oriented station i105-107 signed on last month from new studios in Athlone, serving the northeast and midlands regions of Ireland.

“It’s the first Axia installation in Ireland,” said Andy Linton of Total Broadcast Consultants, Axia’s distributor in Ireland.

The installation consists of three studios — two for on-air use and a third production studio. The Axia routing network consists of three Element modular consoles, six analog audio nodes, three AES/EBU audio nodes, three Axia studio engines, Axia iProFiler automated logging software, PathfinderPRO router automation software, and several studio accessory panels for headphone and mic control.
