One of the new features for IBC2016 is the IP Interoperability Zone, which is located in Hall 8 of RAI Amsterdam. Offered by AIMS and IABM, the zone features a live production studio based on technologies that VRT has been using for its LiveIP Project.
“Visitors will be able to see verified technical interoperability over IP from more than 30 companies and the same technology being used in a real production environment,” said Michael Cronk, vice president of core technology at Grass Valley. “It will be a showcase for the reality of the technology and a demonstration that the industry is converging on a common roadmap.”
In addition to the IP studio and other demonstrations, the IP Interoperability Zone will offer a space for visitors to discuss working with IP workflows with different vendors.
