iHeart and Pray.com Ink Partnership for New Podcast Programming

The new slate of shows will be available on the iHeartRadio app, among other podcast outlets

More faith-based cinematic audio programs may soon be coming to a streaming platform near you following a new partnership between iHeartMedia and Pray.com.

In mid-July, the multiyear deal will include development of new Pray.com podcasts in connection with the iHeartPodcasts brand and then be distributed through the wider iHeartPodcast Network.

Since launching its podcast network, Pray.com’s program has been downloaded more than 40 million times. The company said it is projected to surpass 100 million downloads over the next 12 months. iHeartPodcasts and Pray.com launched their first collaboration late last year, in a program called “Bible in a Year with Jack Graham,” a daily series that helps listeners connect with the Bible in a new way.

“At Pray.com, we are driven by a mission to grow faith and cultivate community,” said Steve Gatena, founder and CEO of Pray.com. “Expanding our partnership with iHeartPodcasts allows us to reach hundreds of millions of people with unmatched faith-based audio experiences that help to make prayer a priority in their day.”

The podcast will use original background music with a full 61-piece orchestra as it recounts specific stories in the Bible. The partnership will also include the creation of additional faith-based shows to iHeartPodcasts including current popular shows like “Meditative Prayers with Tim Clinton,” “Kids Bible in a Year with Julia Saddler” and “Relentless Hope with Steve Gatena.”

The new slate of shows will be available on the iHeartRadio app or via other podcast outlets.
